Multiplane Camera

– What Is It? – 

My first mini multi-plane camera!!! A multi-plane camera is used to give depth perception to paper stop motion animations.

– The Materials – 

  • 8 – 1″x2″ lumber at 50 cm each.
  • 4 – 1″x2″ lumber at 35 cm each.
  • 2 – LED cabinet lights at 40 cm each.
  • 2 – Hard cardboard at 50 cm x 35 cm each.
  • 4 – Sheets of glass at 50 cm x 35 cm
  • 24 – Support Pegs
  • Box – 1 1/4 Inch Screws
  • 1 Pencil

 

– The Build – 

  • Create 2 frames at 50cm x 35cm.
  • Attached a 50cm post to each corner.
  • Drill holes 2cm apart along length of each post.
  • Add the shelf supports to each hole.
  • Cut two 50cm x 35cm cardboard reactangles.
  • Find the center, drill a hole, and make bigger.
  • Add other to bottom for lights.
  • Add 4 sheets of 50cm x 35cm glass.
